Pes planus is normally rated with a diagnostic Code 5276 and on the other hand Plantar Fasciitis is rated under the diagnostic Code 5284. Yes Pes Planus is one condition, however Plantar Fasciitis is another condition. It just depends on the facts in the case. Actually I suspect that both of these conditions would be evaluated as ankle conditions rather than foot conditions, in which case there would only be one evaluation for the ankle based on loss of range of motion. Having said that, if the disability from one of the conditions such as the tibial tendonitis is causing an ankle disability then a separate evaluation can be assigned for the ankle since that is considered to be separate from the foot. What they would do is to look at the foot as a whole and assign a single evaluation under the foot injuries code based on mild, moderate, or severe impairment. They both manifest in foot pain and since the foot works as a single entity you can't really evaluate pain in one area of the foot from pain in another area a few inches away. Ah i understand now, but say Achilles tendinitis and tibial tendinitis then those can be counted because its a different part of the foot?
